Greek philosopher Diogenes of Sinope, was run out of town with his father for banking fraud and fled to Athens in the 4th cn. BCE. After becoming a disciple to the half citizen Antisthenes, he eschewed material wealth and began living in a pithos, or large tub, in the Metroum. Later in Corinth, after skipping an appointment with Alexander the Great, so he could sunbathe in his tub, Alexander went to see him;
"I am Alexander the Great!".
"And I am Diogenes the Cynic! Please move out of my Sun!".
